Widely distributed in Mississippi, Colsons is a golden ale. Homebrewed for years and a favorite in local homebrew competitions, it was finally produced commercially for the first time in the fall of 2018. It’s light in color and body and was designed to be a local alternative to popular national beer brands, but of higher quality and a much better after taste. Colsons quickly became a best seller in the region. The founders of Colsons and the founders of Fertile Ground Beer Co. have long been friends and in the spirit of peace, love and beer, in June 2023, Colsons became a brand of Fertile Ground Beer Co. So right here in Jackson, MS you can see where Colsons is brewed, kegged and canned while trying some right off the tap or taking home some freshly packaged cans.
