Watch Us Brew Some Colsons

Photos and Video from Our First Commercial Batch

We have some photos and video to share from the first commercial brewing session of Colsons. Right now we brew Colsons at Lazy Magnolia Brewery in Kiln, MS.

Mashing

First, our grains go through mashing. They’re soaked in hot water, and the grains release a sticky, sweet liquid called wort. The second photo is of the spent grains waiting to be picked up by a local farmer.

Then, we add hops to the wort during the boiling process.

Once the wort is cooled and strained, yeast is added, and fermentation begins! Last, we carbonate, bottle, and age the delicious stuff.

The Finished Product

Here’s what a couple of beautiful Colsons keg pallets looks like!
